Welcome to My Personal Page
William was diagnosed with Duchenne in June 2015 at the age of 6. He is now almost 10 years old. He is doing great right now but the future is scary. Please help him and other boys and girls like him by donating, any amount big or small helps in the fight to #defeatduchenne. I greatly appreciate the support and keep checking my page and social media to follow my process!
I recently accepted the challenge of participating in The Walk to Defeat Duchenne benefiting Jesse's Journey. I will be walking 8.25km through Springbank Park on Sunday, May 26th, 2019. The 8.25km course represents a quarter of the 33km John Davidson walked every single day of his journey across Canada in 1998/99 to raise awareness and research funds for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Jesse's Journey (The Foundation for Gene & Cell Therapy) is dedicated to funding the most promising research to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. In Canada, one in every 5,000 boys suffer from Duchenne. Few of these young boys will survive beyond their mid-20's. For them, research to find a cure is the road to hope.
I am asking you to help by supporting my fundraising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of these boys and their families.
