For our 13th year now we are participating in The Walk to Defeat Duchenne benefiting Jesse's Journey. We will be walking 8.25km through Springbank Park on Sunday, May 26th, 2019. I still remember the day the words Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy were brought into our world, 14 years ago and at times it’s just as surreal as it was back then. There are more challenges with each passing year, but there are also new milestones achieved each year as well. As always with each year I ask all of you to help us raise awareness for not only us, but again for all the families affected by this terrible disease. Thank you to everyone who has been there for us and to those who will be there for us in the times ahead.
Jesse's Journey (The Foundation for Gene & Cell Therapy) is dedicated to funding the most promising research to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. In Canada, one in every 5,000 boys suffer from Duchenne. Few of these young boys will survive beyond their mid-20's. For them, research to find a cure is the road to hope.
I am asking you to help by supporting my fundraising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of these boys and their families.
Any amount, great or small helps in the fight to #defeatduchenne. I greatly appreciate the support and keep checking my page and social media to follow my process!
