Welcome to My Personal Page
I recently accepted the challenge of participating in The Walk to Defeat Duchenne benefitting Jesse's Journey.
I will be walking 8.25 km through Springbank Park on Sunday, May 27th, 2018. The course represents a quarter of the 33 km John Davidson walked every single day of his journey across Canada in 1998 / 99 to raise awareness and research funds for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
This is my 11th year of participating.
I personally am walking in memory of Jeremie, Dale, Dennis, Jesse; and in support of Liam who is in his 4rd year of his journey with Duchenne's. Jointly we are walking for all boys who are, have been or will be affected by Duchenne.
Jesse's Journey (The Foundation for Gene & Cell Therapy) is dedicated to funding the most promising research to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. In Canada, one in every 5,000 boys suffer from Duchenne. Few of these young boys will survive beyond their mid-20's. For them, research to find a cure is the road to hope.
I am asking you to help by supporting my fundraising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of these boys and their families.
Any amount, great or small helps in the fight to #defeatduchenne. I greatly appreciate the support and keep checking my page and social media to follow my process!
